The Ladies Association began their fund raising activities at once; and have sponsored dinners, including chicken, barbecue, fish, spaghetti and soup with cornbread. They have held bake sales, raffles,  sold jackets, caps and shirts. They have conducted an ongoing rummage sale, which has been very successful.

The Ladies Association, now called the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow Lake Fire District, have donated their time, money and tireless efforts to provide Snow Lake and the surrounding area with adequate fire protection.

Ladies AuxiliarySince 1985, they have brought over $125,000 worth of supplies and equipment for the Snow Lake Fire District, including two pumpers, and over $6,000 of fire hoses, lake pumps, radio base station and radio communication equipment.

With their help, we now have one of the nicest fire houses in Benton County. We recently added an addition to the fire house. The combined efforts of the Auxiliary and Snow Lake Fire District have resulted in a decrease in fire insurance premiums for the residents of the Snow Lake Fire District. We now have a Class 8 rating, which results in a decrease in the cost of our fire insurance.

We  have available jackets and sweat shirts for the  winter season at reduced rates and the Snow lakes Fire Belles Cook Books. For more information, contact Frances Simpson at 224-3469.

Our current officers are: Frances Simpson, President; T.J. Grissom, Vice President; Elizabeth Ross, Secretary; Sue Shears, Treasurer.

All ladies who reside at Snow Lake are cordially invited to join the Auxiliary and assist us with this vital service to our community.
